A Sporting Chance
project partners in Duisburg

The partnership in Duisburg has formed during the project period. Its two partners are the educational organisation GfB Duisburg and the football branch of the club MSV Duisburg.

GfB is a public service company owned by the city council and regional organisations. The aim of the company is to enhance people's possibility to get an employment. This includes educational tracks as well as providing a job center service.

The MSV Duisburg is not only a football club, though this is the branch connected to the Sporting Chance project. They also have handball, hockey, volleyball, track & field, gymnastics and judo on the agenda. The club was formed in 1902 and can nowadays be found in the first or second division. In the Spring of 2005, they once again managed to reach the 1. Bundesliga.
